So, do you think this was drawn by a 7 year old or by a 27 year old trying out brush sets in Photoshop? AND do you think I can get $5 for this on eBay? :P

 

You know sometimes when you are trying to make something with Photoshop or Illustrator and its just not coming together? I get those from time to time! Ideas and images kinda go south and you just give up on it completely. I call that creating "Abstract Panda Nonsense". Watch that term, I'm gonna try to popularize it on the internet!

BEST T-SHIRT EVER!

 

 

For those that don't know, this slogan came about as a result of MySpace co-founder Tom Anderson being added to everyone's MySpace page by default as a 'friend'. The masses have rebelled! I'm convincing all my friends to buy this shirt. Then I can wear a tshirt that says "Tom" and everyone else is in these shirts. Priceless.

 

I don't know if BustedTees was first on this, but I've definitely seen this on CafePress too.

If you are an American, let me offer my condolences. Your media does nothing good for you anymore. The press is largely biased and paid off by the government (recently disclosed fact). I was lucky to be born in a communist country during the Cold War, so can easily tell the difference between propaganda and real journalistic work. You have nothing interesting or relevant covered outside of your own borders, and real news are replaced with baby-panda births on the regular and other vapid entertainment. Weee. The good news is that no ones has censored the internet...yet.

 

There are a ton a sites you can visit for your intake of news, but this is my current fave:

 

 

As a community-based 'news' outlet, you'll know pretty quickly if this is to your liking based on the number of links that you follow.

 

Tech blogs are good because they showcase all the cool gadgets that you can't buy (because they are sold only in Japan or Korea), can't afford (because new shit is expensive), and can't steal (because its a prototype or somethingrather). But, it does expand your mind as to how fast technology really is progressing. Maybe I should pack in my 1994 ProMac with floppy disk drive (hawt)?

Grrrr! Argggh! Nobody likes losing...but as my best friend says, "you can't win if you don't come to play." We didn't.

 

Today, my Calgary Flames lost in a dismal Game 7 of the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. I'm stuck in Connecticut and the taste of loss is running afoul in my mouth today. This is what I create at 11:29pm EST.

 

 

 

 

Cats are very funny creatures to begin with. Dress them up and take a silly photo and you've got GOLD! But, something about this one is on the verge of making me cough up my soda through my nose...every time I see it! Maybe its monday, maybe its the supplements clashing, maybe its the lack of sleep and excess of coffee...

 

 

 

RULES:

 

During a PPV or Televised event, load up no less than 10 drinks each. Consume the following amounts when the described action occurs. Warning: some events are worse than others, so maybe consider Jello-Shooters for your liver's sake.

 

1) John McCarthy yells "Let's Get It On!" - Drink 1

2) Gratuitous Xyience plug, Shown or Spoken - Drink 1 (***UPDATE: I tried this drinking game at the last PPV and damn near died because of this one! So, for the sake of medical safety, only drink 1 if a fighter thanks Xyience. Trust me!)

3) Joe Rogan has a dyslexic moment and messes up someone's name or the description of the action - Drink 1

4) Fighter lands 3 of the exact same blows in a row - Drink 1

5) Low blow - Drink 2

6) Camera pans to a Big Breasted girl in the crowd more than once - Drink 1 (every time)

7) Chuck Liddel refuses to give an opinion on a fight - Drink 1

8) Less than 5 "so-called" celebs in the house - Drink 1

9) More than 10 "so-called" celebs in the house - Drink 2

10) Porn star in the crowd - Drink 1

11) Paris Hilton in the crowd - Drink 2

12) Paris Hilton flashes some boob - Drink 3

13) Fight cancelled/altered because fighter can't make weight - Drink 1

14) Bad split decision (i.e. crowd booing heavily) - Drink 1

15) Winning fighter thanks more than 5 sponsors - Drink 1 

16) Knockout in less than 30 seconds of Round 1- Drink 2

17) Submission in the first round - Drink 1, Drink 2 if the dude passes out

18) Someone comes out of retirement to fight again - Drink 1, Drink 2 if they get beaten royally

19) Someone swears - Drink 1 (every time)

20) Gratuitous overuse of any phrase (i.e. baby gloves, ground and pound, put you to sleep, one-punch power, submission master, well-rounded fighter, etc.) - Drink 1

21) Fighter comes up with their own name for something (i.e. Swick-o-tine, Swick-o-conda, American Who-Hit-U, etc.) - Drink 2

22) Any French-Canadian saying something funny during an interview - Drink 1, Drink 2 if he uses sound-effects (i.e. 'aaaaa')

23) Someone punches out Joe Rogan - Drink 5

24) Andrei Arlovski kills someone and drinks their blood - Drink 10

 

 

 

 

CALLING ALL HOCKEY FANS! Especially those that followed Soviet (CCCP) hockey, the KLM line, the Canada Cups, the post-Stanley Cup Calgary Flames, the 1994-1997 San Jose Sharks, Fribourg-Gotteron of the Swiss-A leaugue, and even the Dallas Stars.

 

This 1990 Calder Trophy Rookie of the Year winner mysteriously remains out of the Hockey (NHL) Hall of Fame.
